Tourism in Ballarat is one of the regions most important industries and worth $ 346 million, bringing over 2 million people to the city each year and creating 1747 jobs. The BTA provides a focus for the tourism industry and adds value to our membership in the following ways:

The aims of the BTA are to increase communication at all levels of the industry, represent the industry throughout Ballarat and beyond, foster unity within the industry and to offer events which brings the industry together. Tourism plays a vital role in Ballarat and the BTA actively works to enhance the tourism industry at every opportunity.




The Ballarat Tourist Association (BTA) is an industry based, non-profit, membership organisation. Our membership encompasses all sectors of the tourism industry including; attractions, accommodation, dining, entertainment, retail, transport/touring, events and training. Importantly, we are recognised within Ballarat as the "voice of the tourism industry".

The coupon offers savings and value at not only attractions such as Sovereign Hill but also restaurants and accommodation for those that are visiting the area.



These coupons are valid for 6 months from the date that is printed on the coupon. Tourism Ballarat thinks “this offer can give families and groups of friend’s large discounts and value for money that no one else can offer, this is the best offer in town we think.” Just by proving a proof of residence such as a post code the group is now entitled to this great offer.
